I didn’t get into the university I wanted. Then an ad for a coding bootcamp showed up, and two months after it ended I was writing production code at Getir. Re:Coded later filmed me telling that story.

The story so far
Self-taught start, a first engineering job two months after bootcamp, then fintech, quick commerce, consumer AI and logistics.
I finished high school in June 2020 and didn’t get into the university I wanted. While I was getting ready to try again, an ad for Re:Coded’s web development bootcamp showed up on my screen. I applied, got in, and stopped preparing for the exam.
An immersive, project-based programme in JavaScript, React and Redux: 43 classes and 237 submitted assignments. Somewhere in there I found the thing I wanted to wake up for: seeing my code come alive in the browser.

Two months after the bootcamp, I joined Getir as the first frontend engineer in its finance department, while starting an associate degree in Computer Programming. I built the architecture of a React backoffice panel for internal finance operations and mentored an intern.

I switched to backend to own the order checkout funnel and financial calculations. I led the fix for a tax overpayment in those calculations, mapped Getir’s financial processes with finance, product and data teams, and took weekly on-call shifts.

After finishing my associate degree, I joined the team behind Fotorama, an AI photo and video generation app. I led requirements and the technical roadmap, shipped growth features like Instagram sharing, and proposed and built a backoffice panel to replace manual content work.

In a transportation management system, I integrated real-time map tracking, built event-driven workflows that calculate coordinates automatically, and wrote self-healing scripts for the on-call issues that kept coming back.
Manual coordinate errors eliminated
After my mandatory military service, I moved to Belgrade through a non-technical role that sponsored my relocation. I now live here with a Serbian work and residence permit.
I’m returning to hands-on full-stack engineering. I want a product team where I own features end to end and can point at a number that moved because of my work.

How I work with AI
I use Claude Code every day, after earlier work with GitHub Copilot and Codex.
I treat it as a researcher and a second opinion, not an autopilot. I read every line it generates and I decide where the project goes.
When it reaches for something I don’t know yet, I ask it to teach me the concept first.
